State police: Spring Brook man forced way into home, assaulted woman

Jan. 26—A Spring Brook Twp. man forced his way into his former girlfriend's Aberdeen Road home and assaulted her, state police said.

Hunter Ryan Lesavage, 21, 226 State Route 690, Apt. 3, was arrested on burglary, criminal trespass, strangulation and other charges in connection with the incident early Tuesday, police said.

Heather Gillette told police Lesavage showed up at her house around 1 a.m. and, after she twice went outside to talk with him, forced his way inside before she could lock the door, according to a criminal complaint.

In the altercation that followed, Lesavage pinned her against a wall, threw her to the floor and choked her, she told police.

Lesavage was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Alyce Farrell, who ordered him held in the Lackawanna County Prison on $50,000 bail. He faces a preliminary hearing Feb. 7 at 10:30 a.m.
