Hundreds of COVID-19 vaccine doses are still being thrown out and wasted in Massachusetts, but not as often as earlier this year.
- New at 6, hundreds of vaccine doses are still being thrown out and wasted in Massachusetts. But the good news here is it's not as often as they were when the roll out first began. The I-Team obtained updated records from the Department of Public Health showing a total of 1,631 doses have been tossed. We first reported last month that 1,204 doses had been wasted. Since then, new records show another 427 were thrown away. The most common reason cited is that there were unused doses left over in an unopened multi-dose vial. But again, keep in mind that we have more than a million people who are fully vaccinated at this point.
