The Statesman Journal is making a change in print delivery frequency beginning March 26, as we continue to respond to rapid shifts toward digital news consumption.

The Statesman Journal will not deliver on Saturdays but instead continue to provide subscribers with a full digital replica of the newspaper that day. This means Statesman Journal subscribers will get newspapers delivered six days a week, with a digital newspaper available every day.

We will still produce a Saturday edition, but it only will be available via the e-Edition at StatesmanJournal.com/eEdition or on the Statesman Journal app (Apple iOS, Google Android).

The Statesman Journal is part of the USA TODAY Network and the changes announced today also will be taking place at many other publications as more people change the way they get local news.

Some features of the e-Edition include being able to clip and share articles and adjust the text size.

Subscribers also will have ad-free access to the USA TODAY crossword puzzle and all of the Network’s e-Editions across the country. So, you’ll be able to read the news 24/7 from places such as The Register-Guard in Eugene, the Arizona Republic in Phoenix and the Desert Sun in Palm Springs.

While a print newspaper is still a vital part of our strategy to assure our communities continue to have access to strong local journalism, this change is in response to advertising trends and more subscribers reading the news via StatesmanJournal.com, our mobile app and social media platforms.

The change will not impact news or sales staffing at the Statesman Journal, nor will it impact our daily coverage of local news and sports.

Anyone with questions about the change can access their account at login.statesmanjournal.com or reach customer service at 1-800-452-2511.
