Statesman Journal's Thanksgiving Day paper will publish, be delivered early

The Statesman Journal's biggest edition of the year — the Thanksgiving Day newspaper — will be published early again this year.

In addition to being stuffed with holiday ads, news columnist Capi Lynn will explain why the Oregon state nut has two different names, we'll have a feature story on Stephanie Craig of Dayton who has been practicing traditional Indigenous basket weaving for 25 years, a list of Salem area u-cut Christmas trees farms along with their prices, a giant crossword puzzle, and more.

The Thanksgiving newspaper will be available at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Salem-area retailers that typically carry the Statesman Journal including, Roth's Fresh Markets, Fred Meyer, Safeway, Walmart, WinCo, 7-Eleven and Plaid Pantry.

Home delivery of the Thanksgiving paper will begin at 6 pm. Tuesday.

On Thanksgiving Day, the Statesman Journal will be an E-Edition.

Cherrill Crosby is the executive editor of the Statesman Journal. You may reach her at crosbyc@statesmanjournal.com
