Station 19 has released a trailer for its seventh season, giving fans a first look at the final episodes.

The ABC show will return next month (March 14) for its last season, with the action following the members of the titular Seattle fire station.

Ahead of the concluding chapter, a teaser trailer has now been released, with the clip depicting a health scare for Jack (Grey Damon) as he collapses at a function, with several of his colleagues rushing to his aid to save his life.

The upcoming season will also see Andy (Jaina Lee Ortiz) acclimatise to her new role as captain, with the character proclaiming she'll be the "best captain the station has ever seen".

Naturally, she will have to overcome internal politics in addition to the general demands of the job, but how will she cope?

It was announced in December that the spin-off to Grey's Anatomy will be ending, with Disney Television Group president Craig Erwich saying: "For seven seasons, Station 19 has been a highlight of the ABC lineup thanks to [producers] Shonda [Rhimes] and Betsy [Beer]'s incredible vision, beloved characters and compelling storytelling.

"With [head writers] Zoanne [Clack] and Peter [Paige] at the helm of the upcoming farewell season, we have so much to look forward to, most notably the celebration of the show's milestone 100th episode."

The cancellation scuppered Damon's hopes for a crossover with fellow ABC show 9-1-1, which is due to return for a seventh season on the same date as Station 19. Damon had likened his character to Oliver Stark's Buck from 9-1-1, revealing that they could be "best buds" in another life.

Station 19 returns to ABC on March 14.
