Station 19 star reveals Supernatural was a "life-changing experience"
Station 19 star Danielle Savre has discussed her time on Supernatural, reflecting that it was a "life-changing experience" for her.
Savre featured in the 2014 episode 'Bloodlines' – the backdoor pilot for a spin-off series named Supernatural: Bloodlines – as shapeshifter Margo Lassiter.
The spin-off didn't get picked up to series, but Savre looks back at her time on the show (recently announced to be ending next year after 15 seasons) fondly and had high praise for leading stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki.
"Jensen and Jared, they have such great chemistry," she said, speaking before the news broke about Supernatural's future.
"They're such humble and down-to-earth guys. It was such a pleasure to work on that show and to be part of that crew and that family for one episode."

"There is a correlation with that dynamic – how well they work together and how much fun they had. And it was weird because that was at a time in my career when I was like, 'No, I don't know if I want to act anymore'. I was questioning all of my decisions in my life. I was at an age when I was trying to figure things out.
"And I've grown so much to where I am now and playing the character I am now [Maya Bishop in Station 19]."
Savre explained that her time on Supernatural helped her realise that she loved and wanted to continue to pursue acting. She also formed a close friendship with Melissa Roxburgh, who played Violet Duval, and added that "to this day she's one of my best friends, if not my best friend".
"It was a great experience and absolutely a life-changing experience, because after that I was like, 'No, I can't not act, I love this more than anything'," she said. "You kind of always question it as an actor because there's so many ups and downs in this industry, and you really have no control.
"You just go and do the best job and hope that someone thinks you're right for the role.
"So that was a huge turning point in my life and my career, and after that I kept working. I just kept continually working after Supernatural and having that friendship with Melissa and getting to see how a set should be run."
Savre added: "Some of the other shows before Supernatural, I've been jaded. Things not running so great or people being divas.
"And [Supernatural] was such a great indication that it is possible to have a cast that works great together and that loves being there on a show that's gone on for years and years with a huge fan following. That really feels like what I'm on now.
"It came full circle, because there's so many correlations with Supernatural and Station 19."
The star also talked about the upcoming crossover between Station 19 and Grey's Anatomy, teasing that it will be "huge" and emotionally affecting.
Station 19 airs on ABC in the US and on Sky Witness in the UK.
