A statue of Kobe and Gianna Bryant was placed on January 26 at the site of a helicopter crash in which the NBA legend, his daughter, and seven others were killed in 2020.

On Wednesday, fans visited the statue to pay their respects and mark two years since the fatal crash.

The statue, created by artist Dan Medina, depicts Kobe and Gianna smiling at one another, and includes a plaque with the names of the seven other victims.

“It’s been two years,” Medina wrote on Instagram, adding: “Rest in peace.” Credit: @spmikey83 via Storyful
