Bucks County's restaurant scene continues to grow with a new steakhouse Firebirds Wood Fired Grill coming to Lower Makefield.

Known for its hand-cut, aged steaks and fresh seafood, the restaurant, which has more than 50 locations across the U.S., has a “polished casual” feel, said Eleni Kouvatsos, a Firebirdsspokesperson.

“Firebirds fills a gap between fine dining and your traditional casual dining brands by offering the highest quality food and service in an approachable environment that really elevates the experience,” Kouvatsos said.

According to Township Supervisor David Kratzer, Jr., Firebirds will join Wegmans, as a part of Prickett Preserve, a mixed-use development currently under construction across the street from Shady Brook Farm off Stony Hill Road.

The Prickett Preserve project includes plans for additional restaurants and retail stores, as well as a 200-unit luxury apartment community, and is being developed by DeLuca Homes, Equus Capital Partners and Envision Land Use.

A pending restaurant liquor license application, listed under Firebirds of Yardley, LLC, provides an address of 924 Antique Alley.

Its websites says the restaurant offers “top-notch service and upscale dining at a modest price,” with prices ranging from $15-18 for lunch and $28-32 for dinner per person including entrée, drink, tax and tip.

The restaurant features an open kitchen concept and its eye-catching Firebar, a horseshoe-shaped bar with backlit liquor displays, where customers can enjoy watching bartenders craft seasonal cocktails.

When will Firebirds open in Lower Makefield?

An exact date has not been announced yet, but Kouvatsos said they aim to open by late 2024.

Prickett Preserve, where Firebirds will be located, is slated to open in early 2024, according to its website.

Firebirds serves lunch and dinner seven days a week, as well as brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, with menus that include shareable starters, salads, sandwiches, entrees, sides, desserts and kid-friendly options. Specialty cocktails, wine and mocktails are also available.
