Steelers bring in young WR talent for tryout

According to the NFL transactions report, the Pittsburgh Steelers brought in former Michigan State wide receiver Cody White for a workout to potentially bolster depth at the position.

After catching 66 passes for 922 yards and six touchdowns as a junior, White chose to declare for the 2020 NFL draft. White definitely looks the part, standing 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds but never played with anything more than marginal athleticism.

White originally signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent after the 2020 NFL draft. White also spent time on the offseason rosters of the New York Giants and Denver Broncos.

The Steelers could be adding White to the practice squad to fill the void left on the roster now that defensive tackle Dan McCullers has opted to terminate his own contract to sign with the active roster of another team.
