Steelers fans being offered special travel fall travel promotion by Allegiant Air

FINDLAY TWP. ― Passengers will want to ensure they have a Terrible Towel in their carry-on bags if they take advantage of a special flight coming to the Pittsburgh International Airport this fall.

Allegiant has announced that they will be adding special, nonstop flights to Las Vegas this fall when the Steelers take on the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium on Sept. 24. In addition to the special flights, a package including game tickets and hotel accommodations will be offered for Pittsburghers traveling west for the game.

“We know Steelers fans travel incredibly well to away games, and it’s fantastic that Allegiant recognized this increase in demand and added flights to Las Vegas,” said Bryan Dietz, senior vice president of Air Service and Commercial Development at Pittsburgh International. “I look forward to Allegiant Stadium being a sea of black and gold that weekend.”

Fans can book the package at the Allegiant Air website's "Football Fan Packages" section now. Fans can also choose an option to book only the flight through Allegiant Air's site. Similar packages will also be offered for other cities in the future, with special travel packages to Las Vegas being offered in Dallas, Kansas City and Buffalo.

In addition to Allegiant Air's promotion, officials at PIT noted Southwest and Spirit airlines offer regularly scheduled nonstop service to Las Vegas on a daily basis.
