Steelers RB Najee Harris blames media for disconnect among offense: ‘You guys are breaking us up’

When something isn’t working, you have to inquire about why if you want to understand the problem. But I guess the Pittsburgh Steelers media asking the players about why the offense is struggling is doing more harm than good and actually blaming the press for the problems between the players.

We’re really comfortable,” said Harris. “You know what it is? I think it’s social media and the interviewers like you guys kind of breaking us apart in a way.”

But Harris went even further saying the media is breaking the team up while they are trying to build something.

“You guys keep asking questions like this. We’re at a point where we’re building right now. We’re working on it. But you guys come in here and ask questions to the receivers and Mitch about why things aren’t working. That’s not how you build, how you get better. You guys are breaking us up. We need to find a way to come together as a team and focus on what needs to matter the most.”

I’m not going to fault Harris for his feelings on the matter. If what is being said about the offense hits home, then let’s just hope it has an overall positive impact on who the team plays this weekend against the New York Jets.
