Steelers Thursday practice report filled with defenders

Friday is going to be huge for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The team will put out its game status report for this week’s showdown with the Buffalo Bills and we will have a better understanding of just how hobbled the Steelers defense will be.

On Thursday, six defensive starters and one key reserve were all either limited or did not participate. This is in addition to the continued absence of outside linebacker T.J. Watt.

Starting wide receiver Diontae Johnson and starting center Mason Cole were also limited on Thursday.

Here’s a full rundown of the Thursday practice report.

WR Diontae Johnson (Hip) – LP
CB Cameron Sutton (Groin/Hamstring) – LP
CB Ahkello Witherspoon (Hamstring) – DNP
CB Levi Wallace (Foot) – LP
S Terrell Edmunds (Concussion) – LP
S Minkah Fitzpatrick (Knee) – LP
OL Mason Cole (Foot) – LP
DL Chris Wormley (Ankle) – LP
DT Cameron Heyward (Ankle/Elbow) – LP

The Steelers are already 13.5-point underdogs and if they are down multiple starting defenders, two touchdowns might not be enough. Let us know in the comments below what players you think will miss the game.
