Steelers waive Tegray Scales, former Colerain HS standout, on his 26th birthday
The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Tuesday that they waived former Colerain High School and Indiana Hoosiers standout linebacker Tegray Scales on his 26th birthday.
It was Scales' third stint with the Steelers, which signed him to their active roster off the Bengals' practice squad in January. Scales played in four games for Pittsburgh in 2020, and one game last season.
From Scales via Twitter, in addition to birthday wishes he retweeted:
Don’t feel sorry for yourself! Enough Is never enough! Do more✍🏾🫡

Scales signed with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent in May 2018, but was waived three months later.
He's also spent time on practice squads for the Indianapolis Colts, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns.
The transaction leaves 19 players from Greater Cincinnati high schools on National Football League rosters.
