Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster ready to talk contract
Do you get the feeling Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver might actually be back with the team in 2021? It seems like whenever Steelers contracts are mentioned on social media, Smith-Schuster finds his way there to get into the comments to talk about his contract.
The big news this week was the Steelers and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger coming together on a new contract that saves the Steelers $15 million in cap space. The official NFL account shared the news of the contract and it didn’t take long for Smith-Schuster to get into the comments with his desire to get a deal done with the Steelers.
Smith-Schuster is the Steelers biggest offensive free agent. Typically this means Pittsburgh is going to let them walk because the contract demands will go well beyond what Pittsburgh wants to pay.
It really feels like if the Steelers have an interest in bringing Smith-Schuster back, he’s not looking to break the bank if it means he can come back to Pittsburgh.
