Steelers writers divided in new 2021 mock draft

Who should the Pittsburgh Steelers pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft? Who will the Steelers pick? These two questions, very much separate from each other will be answered in just about two months but in the meantime look for plenty of debate about both.

The Steelers official site put out what they called a Triple Take mock draft with their three writers, Dale Lolley, Mike Priusta and Matt Williamson. Let’s take a look at their picks for the Steelers and see if they hit or miss.

Williamson and Lolley both pandered to the fans a bit giving the Steelers former Alabama running back Najee Harris. Both guys justify the pick with the futility of the Steelers run game last season with noting a great fit in Pittsburgh.

This didn’t deter Prisuta from going off script and instead opting for former Oklahoma State offensive tackle Teven Jenkins. He didn’t offer much in the way of analysis but the pick makes perfect sense. Despite being the fourth tackle off the board in Prisuta’s mock, Jenkins is a great player and a day-one starter.
