Penn's AJ Steenbeke and Glenn coach Andy King earn top NIC wrestling honors

AJ Steenbeke of Penn and coach Andy King of John Glenn earned top honors from the Northern Indiana Conference for the 2022-23 prep wrestling season.

Senior Steenbeke earned the NIC MVP after helping the Kingsmen claim the league title. Steenbeke was individual NIC champion at 160.

King was named NIC Coach of the Year by his peers as Glenn placed fifth in the NIC Tournament.

Penn totaled 292.5 points to claim the team title of the NIC Tournament. Elkhart was second with 243 points, followed by New Prairie (233.5), Jimtown (176.5), Glenn (166), Riley (113), Bremen (70), Marian (60), Saint Joseph (60), Washington (45), Clay (30) and Adams (26).
