The Clarke County School District on Thursday announced graduation plans for Cedar Shoals and Clarke Central high schools.

Graduations were originally planned for Stegeman Coliseum on the University of Georgia campus, but had to be moved due to ongoing repairs on the coliseum roof.

The Cedar Shoals ceremony will take place at 8:30 a.m. May 25 in the Waters-Wilkes Stadium at the high school. A rain delay will move the ceremony to 8 p.m. the same day, but if rain persists through the day the graduation will take place in the school’s gymnasium.

The Clarke Central ceremony is planned for 8:30 a.m. May 26 on campus in the Billy Henderson Stadium. The rain delay date is 8 p.m. the same day, however, if weather persists the graduation will be moved at the same time into the school gymnasium.

If moved into the gymnasiums, graduating seniors at both schools will be given four tickets for admission to the gyms during their graduation practice on May 24.

The Classic City High graduation will take place at 5 p.m. May 25 in the Vernon Payne Meeting Hall at 595 Prince Ave.
