Stella Artois will help you beat the heat with free boat rides around one U.S. city this summer

Regardless of what coast or area of the country you live on, Americans are all facing the same sweltering truth -- this summer has been an unbearably hot one.

Those in highly-populated, humid cities know all too well that that even the slightest uptick in temperature can make what should be easy, breezy summer days feel like a walking through a swampland, and for residents of New York City, this couldn't be more true.

With sky-high temperatures brought on by a serious heatwave earlier this month and a citywide power outage, it's been all but smooth sailing for New Yorkers this summer.

That is, until Stella Artois revealed what's bound to be the smoothest sailing for residents regardless of what borough you find yourself sweating in!

Inspired by the company's European roots, Stella Artois is inspiring New Yorkers to travel by sea (in this case, by the East River) when the temperatures get too hot for the subway by launching its East River Riviera fleet of wood-trimmed Riva Boats from July 30 to August 2 -- for free!

The boats will load at Pier 25 in Manhattan and let out across the river at ONE°15 Brooklyn Marina in Brooklyn.

Check out the full route for the boats:

Commuters interested in riding the Rivas will have to sign up for one of the limited spots here, with signups for each day opening exactly one week before the boat ride.

Boats will run on the selected launch days from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for 30 minutes, just enough time to crack open a cold one and enjoy the airy commute.
