Stephen Colbert explains why Rudy Giuliani is in Ukraine

You'd think that Ukraine is the last place President Donald Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani would want to be. But you'd be wrong.

Giuliani traveled to the country in what appears to be a last-ditch effort to defend the president against allegations of wrong-doing in the Ukraine scandal. But, in Giuliani fashion, he initially denied taking the trip. Then he accidentally admitted to being in Ukraine, while still trying to deny that the jaunt ever happened. Want to see his impressive interview? Stephen Colbert breaks it down. Take a look in today's Best of Late Night, above.

The former New York City mayor is also contributing to a documentary on the scandal. But Colin Jost of "Saturday Night Live" has other ideas about what Giuliani must mean by documentary.
