Stephen Fry has teamed up with the BBC to launch a new mental health app for children.

The legendary actor lends his voice to Your Mindful Garden, a new digital programme on the CBeebies Go Explore app that helps prepare kids for starting primary school.

Developed with a mindfulness consultant, the app aims to teach children how to de-stress during this time, helping them develop their focus, creativity and calmness through daily activities and tasks.

Speaking about the project, Fry said: “It was such a pleasure to be involved with a simple, but beautifully designed idea like this. I hope and believe that many children will find the game fun, engaging and helpful in their journeys through life.”

For generations, the actor and comedian has soothed audiences with his voice, most notably through his narration of the Harry Potter books.
