Joshua Whitchard and Jacob Shou had 15.33 pounds to win the Thursday Night Open Series tournament March 31 on the Winter Haven South Chain. Chase Krutzsky and Alex Goodman took second place with 14.74 pounds. Cole Shmucker and Jake Shmucker placed third with 14.44 pounds. Joshua Whitchard and Jacob Shou tied with the team of Tanner Pope and Kevin Pope for big bass with a 6.71 pounder.

Ron Fowler and Jacob Henry took third place with 12.60 pounds. J.J. Eckertson took big bass with a 7.60 pounder.

Mark Kummelman and Keith Katrien had 16.75 pounds and big bass with a 6.65 pounder to win the Bass Bandits of Brandon tournament April 2 on the Harris Chain. Marshall Wiggens and Colton Rands took second place with 15.50 pounds. Ramsey Brown and Tanner Pope took third place with 9.50 pounds.

Aaron Flint and Jeremy Goodwyn had 34.03 pounds and big bass with a 9.36 pounder to win the Camp Mack Guy Harvey Lodge 2022 Bonfire Tournament Lunker Lovin’ Smackdown on April 2 at Lake Kissimmee. Mike Porter and Chris Maxwell took second place with 20.28 pounds. Rodney Hunter and Danny Duchesne took third place with 19.75 pounds. In the Family Division, Kyle Gooding and Owen Gooding had 18.57 pounds to win first place. Alex Tyler and Aaron Tyler took second place with 14.76 pounds. Cody Larsen and Nick Morgan placed third with 12.21 pounds and also had big bass with a 5.48 pounder.

Colby Evans and Jesse Smith had 18.13 pounds to win the Xtreme Bass Series Central Florida Division tournament April 3 on Lake Juliana. Daniel Garcia and Robert Garcia took second place with 17.28 pounds. Rob VanHorn and Ed VanHorn took third place with 16.55 pounds. Eddie Yearry and Gary Yearry Sr. had big bass with an 8.72 pounder.

Chris Maxwell and Mike Porter had 26.09 pounds to win the Xtreme Bass Series Lake Toho Division tournament April 3 on Lake Toho. Jim Folks and Jeremy Smith took second place with 21.35 pounds. Ron Shakespeare and Jerrod Albright took third place with 19.81 pounds and also had big bass with a 7.34 pounder.

Henry Rodriguez had 16 pounds to win the Lone Fishing Club tournament April 2 at Lake Rosalie. Robert Corey took second place with 14 pounds, 4 ounces. Robert Weeks took big bass with a 7-pound, 5-ounce fish.

Brandon Smith and Dylan Trevarthen had 24.13 pounds to win the North Lakeland Lions Club “Fishing For Sight” Open Bass tournament April 2 at Lake Parker. Dennis Minton and Keith Brown took second place with 21.50 pounds. Brock James and Gabe Rivera took third place with 21.40 pounds and also had big bass with a 6.13 pounder. Matt Henderson and Michael Teate had second big bass with a 6.05 pounder.

• The next Sunshine State Crappie Trail tournament is April 9 on Crescent Lake out of the Crescent City boat ramp. A one-time season membership fee is $50 and the tournament entry fee is $100. • The 4th Annual Battle of the Bass Tournament benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay is May 21 on the Kissimmee Chain out of Camp Mack. The tournament Entry fee is $200 per boat for two anglers with $20 optional big bass fee. A $5,000 first place prize is guaranteed. Registration begins a 5 a.m. and time is safe daylight to 3 p.m. Anglers may register online or on site prior to the tourney. However, after May 13 entry fee will be $240.
