Stephens County shoplifting suspect still at large after ‘dangerous’ vehicle pursuit

Michael Jacob “Lucky” Aldridge found himself in local headlines in early January when a Stephens County constable responded to a report of shoplifters in a Walmart parking lot. As the account from the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) goes, Aldridge and an accomplice allegedly ran off, and a “lengthy and dangerous pursuit” ensued. The accomplice was arrested shortly after, but Aldridge remained at large for several weeks.

The SCSO said Aldridge was wanted for Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant and Evading Arrest Detention with a Vehicle with prior convictions.

The Breckenridge Texan reported that the SCSO turned the case over to the US Marshals Service after no luck in its investigation. It took marshals around a week to locate and arrest Aldridge. He is expected to be extradited to Stephens County soon. At the time of this article’s publishing, he had yet to be booked into the Stephens County Jail.
