Stephens County springs into Easter with a variety of events

Apr. 6—Springtime is here and Easter events continue to sprout up around Stephens County.

The following Easter events will take place throughout this week in April, leading up to Easter weekend on Saturday, April 8 and Sunday, April 9.

Events include:

—Loyalty Farms will host its Annual Community Easter 2023 with a hunt at 2:30 p.m. Donations are accepted for admission. Loyalty Farms is located at 2404 North N. Street in Duncan. The event will run from 12:30-4:30 p.m. There will be cookie decorating and crafts, as well as baby animal photo opportunities, small face paints and a bounce house. Attendees are encouraged to park on the street and walk down.

—Recovery Church's Easter Celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 8. Activities and food include an egg hunt, games and hot dogs. Recovery Church is located at 1680 E. Beech Ave., Duncan. Sunday Service is at 10 a.m.

—Ray of Hope Church will host its Annual Spring Fest from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, April 8. They will offer snow cones, popcorn, prizes, face painting, inflatables, pony rides, a fire truck, a train ride, bounce houses and an obstacle course. The hunt will consist of 20,000 eggs with five categories. Ray of Hope is located on the corner of Highway 81 and Refinery Road, five minutes south of Duncan.

—The Hoppy Easter Egg Hunt will take place from 3-5 p.m. on April 8 at Kochendorfer Brewing Company and will include spring pictures from 3-5 p.m., a kids egg hunt at 3 p.m. and an Easter craft. Food trucks will include San Juan Street Tacos for 4-10 p.m. and Sugar Daddy Shaved Ice from 2-6 p.m. KBC is located at 1155 McCurdy Road in Duncan.

—First Baptist Church Duncan will host First Kids Easter Egg Hunt from 10-11:30 a.m. on April 8 at Duncan Sports Park and Activity Center (DSPAC).

—Providence Baptist Church will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 9 following the 10 a.m. Easter play. Ages fourth grade and under.

—A membership Easter Egg Hunt will take place at 10 a.m. on April 8 at the Duncan Golf and Tennis Club with Easter Bunny photos beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Easter Morning Services on Sunday, April 9:

—10 a.m. — All Saints Episcopal Church, located at 809 W. Cedar. Additionally, there will be an Easter Vigil at 6:30 a.m. Easter egg hunt following service.

—10 a.m. — Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. An Easter Egg Hunt follows worship.

—10 a.m. — Providence Baptist Church. Includes Easter play.

—10:15 a.m. — First Baptist Church Duncan, located at 901 W. Ash Ave.

—10:45 a.m. — First Presbyterian Church, located at 704 W. Ash Ave.

—9 a.m. and 11 a.m. — Faith Church, located at 1404 W. Main Street, Duncan.

—Noon — Connection Church Duncan, located in Elk Plaza, next to Dollar General.
