PITTSBURGH – Famed funnymen Steve Martin and Martin Short will come looking for laughs at the Benedum Center on Sept. 15-16.

Martin's musical collaborators the Steep Canyon Rangers will be special guests, along with Jeff Babko.

Martin and Short call this their “You Won’t Believe What They Look Like Today!” tour, not to be confused with 2016's Evening You Will Forget for the Rest of Your Lives Tour that also played the Benedum. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at TrustArts.org, by calling 412-456-6666, or in person at the Benedum Center box office.

Martin and Short super fans can receive early access to tickets by following @TrustArts on FacebookInstagram, or Twitter for pre-sale codes that will be shared at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

According to a Monday press announcement, the Martin and Short double-billing "is a show that redefines the form in unexpected and profound ways, from two of the funniest, most influential, and acclaimed talents of the past century. Their humor is often subversive, but it is always a joyous self-deprecating romp from two comedy masters driven to make each other laugh as much as the audience. The jokes come at you at a rapid-fire pace with little set-up and big punch lines as they mock Hollywood and the fickle nature of celebrity, but the comedy truly soars when they lovingly (and relentlessly) roast each other."

Martin and Short met for the first time on the set of the 1986 film “Three Amigos.” The two comedians have been touring together since 2015, when they launched their first live show titled, “A Very Stupid Conversation.”
