Steve Miller Band announces 3 Florida concerts for 2023: What to know
Maurice, the space cowboy, the gangster of love is coming to Florida.
The Steve Miller Band has announced three December concerts on its latest tour. They are Dec. 13 at Hertz Arena in Estero; Dec. 14 at The Sound and Coachman Park in Clearwater; and Dec. 17 at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre.
Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday, June 16. Various presales begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 15, and run for 24 hours. More information is at stevemillerband.com or ticketmaster.com.
Miller ― now 79, who was born in Milwaukee and grew up in Dallas ― is known for hits including "The Joker," "Fly Like an Eagle," "Rock'n Me," "Jungle Love," "Jetairliner" and "Take The Money and Run." He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2022.
He formed the Steve Miller Band in 1966 and the group began with a more blues-rock sound. Miller eventually evovled into more pop rock and achieved his greatest success in the 1970s.

His last big hit was "Abracadabra" in 1982, which also was a popular video played in the early days of MTV.
