All of Stevie Nicks' best songs in one place: New 'Rarities' box set is coming

It's been 42 years since Stevie Nicks launched her solo career with "Bella Donna," the quadruple-platinum triumph that gave the world "Edge of Seventeen" alongside hit duets with Tom Petty ("Stop Draggin' My Heart Around") and Don Henley ("Leather and Lace").

Released the same year the Phoenix-born singer moved into the Paradise Valley home she had built, where she lived until 2007, "Bella Donna" proved quite the auspicious beginning to a solo career that led to her taking her well-deserved place in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as the first woman to be twice inducted in 2019.

Nicks' first induction was in 1988 with Fleetwood Mac, whose biggest U.S. hit remains a Nicks song, "Dreams" (which finished just behind another Fleetwood Mac song that remains a staple of her live shows in our countdown of her greatest work).

Her previous box set was 'The Enchanted Works of Stevie Nicks'

Now, she's got a second box set on the way.

On July 28, Rhino Entertainment will release a career-spanning box set whose title says it all: "Complete Studio Albums & Rarities."

It follows 1998's three-disc collection, "The Enchanted Works of Stevie Nicks."

This new collection comes with all eight solo albums: "Bella Donna" (1981), "The Wild Heart" (1983), "Rock a Little" (1985), "The Other Side of the Mirror" (1989), "Street Angel" (1994), "Trouble in Shangri-La" (2001), "In Your Dreams" (2011) and "24 Karat Gold: Songs from the Vault" (2014).

The collection also features "Rarities," a compilation of hard-to-find tracks only available with the set.

A newly remastered version of “One More Big Time Rock and Roll Star” from "Rarities" is available now on all digital download and streaming services.

Originally released as the B-side to “Talk to Me”, the lead single from "Rock a Little," “One More Big Time Rock and Roll Star” was also included on "The Enchanted Works of Stevie Nicks."

Several albums were newly remastered from the analog masters for this release, including "Rock a Little," "The Other Side of the Mirror," "Street Angel" and "Trouble in Shangri-La."

A 16-LP version will be available for $299.98 in a limited and numbered run of 3,000 units globally, pressed on clear vinyl and available the same day as the CD box from Rhino.com.

Several albums in the collection are making their vinyl debut, including "Street Angel," "Trouble in Shangri-La" and "In Your Dreams." Those titles along with "The Other Side of the Mirror" and "24 Karat Gold: Songs from the Vault" will be released as double LPs housed in gatefold sleeves.

The "Rarities" collection is a triple-LP set housed in a trifold sleeve.

"Complete Studio Albums & Rarities" follows Nicks’ musical journey across four decades and features the Top 10 singles “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around,” “Leather and Lace," “Stand Back” and “Talk to Me" alongside such beloved calling cards as “Edge of Seventeen,” “If Anyone Falls,” “I Can’t Wait” and “Rooms on Fire.”

"Rarities" features 23 of Nicks’ best non-album tracks, including B-sides, contributions to film and television soundtracks and three songs originally released on Nicks’ 1991 hits collection "Timespace." "Rarities" closes with the cover of Buffalo Springfield’s classic “For What It’s Worth" that Nicks released in 2022.

Nicks has concerts scheduled this summer and fall, including a co-headlining date with Billy Joel at Chase Field in Phoenix on Dec. 8.
