Stewart welcomes international passengers again, celebrates inaugural PLAY flight

New York Stewart International Airport is "international" again.

PLAY, a low-cost airline operating flights between the United States and Europe, welcomed international passengers Thursday and celebrated its inaugural flight to Iceland from New York Stewart International Airport in New Windsor.

The company says it's beginning its New York service now, just as summer travel bookings can begin. Some special fares are being offered.

Upgrades at Stewart: Airport welcomes return of international flights

“Today’s flight from New York comes less than one year after PLAY’s very first flight from Iceland in 2021. Despite a challenging travel market, PLAY has still grown and established itself in Europe and the United States," CEO Birgir Jónsson said in a news release.
