Have a leftover coupon from the Bed, Bath & Beyond? Don't trash it because now you can redeem it for a discount at any Boscov's.

Boscov's said it will accept the 20 percent discount coupons from the embattled home goods chain through May.

Bed Bath & Beyond has announced it will close all of its stores next month after filing for bankruptcy. The chain, known for its ubiquitous coupons mailed to homes and handed out at registers, stopped accepting the coupons earlier this week in preparation for liquidation.

Boscov's, headquartered in Reading, has 49 stores in eight states with 26 stores in Pennsylvania, including Neshaminy and Plymouth Meeting malls. There are nearby South Jersey locations in Moorestown, Voorhees and Deptford.

A news release said Boscov's will exchange Bed Bath & Beyond coupons mailed to customers for $10 off any one purchase of $50 or more until May 31.

“We’re happy to make those BB&B coupons useful and introduce shoppers to Boscov’s at the same time,” CEO Jim Boscov said in a statement.

“They’ll find that we carry many of the same products they’re used to seeing plus a store full of other departments, including apparel, cosmetics, jewelry, handbags and more. Best of all, they’ll discover that they don’t need a coupon at Boscov’s to get the best prices every day of the week.”

A BB&B company statement said those stores that remain open for now stopped accepting coupons and Welcome Rewards+ discounts as April 25.

Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. plans to close or sell all of its stores in South Jersey and other markets by the end of June as part of a bankruptcy action in federal court in New Jersey.

"We have made the difficult decision to begin winding down our operations," the financially ailing retailer said this month when it sought protection from creditors in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Newark.
