Stillwater Lift Bridge electrical cable replacement completed
The Stillwater Lift Bridge is back in business.
The bridge, which was closed Tuesday morning for repairs, began lifting again around noon and reopened to pedestrians and bicyclists, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The closure was necessary so crews could replace a damaged electrical cable that operates the lift span of the bridge, MnDOT officials said.
