Sting to play Z100's Jump Start to Summer on Memorial Day weekend at Jenkinson's Pavilion

Sting, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and former frontman for the Police, is coming to Jenk's Pavilion in Point Pleasant Beach to kick off Memorial Day weekend.

He's billed with reggae star Shaggy as the headliners of the “Z100 Jump Start to Summer at Jenkinson's” show, the New York City radio station announced on the morning of Thursday, May 19. One Republic, Dnce, featuring Joe Jonas, and Leah Kate also will perform as part of the live broadcast from Jenkinson's Pavilion on the beach with Elvis Duran and the Z100 Morning Crew from 6 to 10 a.m. Friday, May 27.

Sting is currently on his “My Songs” tour, which recently played two nights, May 13 and 14, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City. He and Shaggy, whose hits include “It Wasn't Me,” recently collaborated on an album of Frank Sinatra reggae covers called “Com Fly Wid Mi.”

“This is almost too unbelievable to say, but Sting AND Shaggy have been added to the Z100 Jump Start to Summer concert at Jenkinson’s!” said Point Pleasant Beach Mayor Paul Kanitra Thursday on social media. “What an insane lineup this is and an amazing way to kickoff Memorial Day weekend in Point Pleasant Beach!
