Stockton officers shoot, killed armed man, police say
A man who was believed to be armed was shot and killed by officers in Stockton on Sunday night, according to police. The Stockton Police Department said its dispatchers got a 911 call at 7:48 p.m. from a person saying a man with a handgun was trying to stop their vehicle near Sturgeon Road and Mariners Drive. A few minutes later at 7:51 p.m., another caller told officers that they saw the man running at vehicles in the roadway, also witnessing him point a handgun at a vehicle.
