Are you an '80s child who loves the velvety voice of Foreigner’s original lead singer Lou Gramm? Or perhaps a '90s fan of the hard rock band Stone Temple Pilots?

What about a lover of classic rap music who digs T.I.? Or maybe you prefer moving your hips to the Mexican norteño and corrido tunes of Los Tucanes de Tijuana?

Whatever your taste, the Colorado State Fair’s lineup of musical acts likely has something for you.

“From country and rock to some rap classics, we have an amazingly strong lineup and great talent scheduled to join us for the 150th Colorado State Fair,” said Scott Stoller, general manager of the Colorado State Fair. “Join us for the best 11 days of summer and enjoy fair favorites, new attractions, and the best fair food west of the Mississippi.”

Multi-platinum rockers Stone Temple Pilots are set to take the stage at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4 in the State Fair Events Center. Thanks to a sponsorship from the Colorado Lottery, anyone who purchases $20 or more in Colorado Lotto+ tickets between June 27 and the concert date will receive a voucher that can be exchanged for a free-admission ticket while supplies last.

Stone Temple Pilots started rocking the San Diego music scene in 1989 and rose to fame as part of the 1990s grunge scene. They are known for hits like “Interstate Love Song,” “Plush,” and “The Big Empty,” which the band debuted on MTV’s Unplugged in 1994.

The State Fair recently announced that some fan favorites have also been added to this year's fair lineup, including one near and dear to Puebloan's hearts: the demolition derby and a monster truck tour.

The Tommy G Memorial Demolition Derby, set for 7 p.m. Sept. 3, honors the life of Tommy Giodone Jr., a longtime event promoter who brought several events, including the annual demolition derby, to Pueblo.

Giodone, who was well known for bringing fun summer events to the Home of Heroes, died March 10, at the age of 56.

The Toughest Monster Truck Tour will have two performances, the first at 8 p.m. Sept. 2 and the second at 1 p.m. Sept. 3. Tickets to all events went on sale July 1 and can be purchased online at etix.com, by phone at 1-800-514-3849, or in person at the Colorado State Fair box office.

Concert tickets also are on sale for performances from Lady A with Priscilla Block, Walker Hayes, Comedian Jim Gaffigan, Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry and The Randy Rogers Band.
