Stonewall Kitchen launches new products: Candles, sauces, flavored Vermont Coffee and more

YORK, Maine — Stonewall Kitchen continues to grow its reach into the kitchen and home goods market as the company announced the release of 62 new aioli, sauces, flavored coffees and other items.

New Parmesan Garlic and Jalapeño Bacon Cheese Aioli products, as well as the first-ever flavored coffees from Stonewall’s recently acquired Vermont Coffee Company, are among the variety of new items hitting the shelves this year at Stonewall brand stores.

The company, which got its start in local farmers’ markets 31 years ago, now owns nine different brands that also include Village Candle and Michel Design Works, a number of which were acquired in the last couple of years.

Also coming to Stonewall shelves will be their new Chimichurri Grille Sauce, Hickory Brown Sugar Grille Sauce and Hot Honey Wing Sauce that Stonewall VP of Marketing and DTC Sales Janine Somers said are perfect for the summer grill.

The new Cucumber Dill Dressing, she said, puts a “refreshing twist for those bright summer salads.”

Stonewall’s salsa line will also get a new Pickle de Gallo – a traditional pico de gallo infused with what Somers described as the “upward trend of pickles.”

Stonewall’s Vermont Coffee Company is expanding its collection with a new flavored coffee line with flavors including Rich Vanilla, Roasted Hazelnut and Sweet Maple.

Stonewall Kitchen is also releasing a new Java Coffee Cake Mix with Espresso Glaze, which offers an easy-to-make dessert with an “abundance of smooth coffee flavor,” the company said.

Moving outside the kitchen items, customers will find Village Candle’s new Luminary Collections that feature a unique packaging design inspired by the luminary bags that often line walkways for a glowing effect. Somers said the designs of each candle tell a unique seasonal story and create a beautiful, luminescent glow.

“We take that experience inside the home with festive fragrances,” said Somers. “Our guests are simply going to love the warmth and vibe of this whole collection.”

A significant year for Stonewall Kitchen

This has been a significant year for Stonewall Kitchen, which opened its Stonewall Home Company Store in April at its York campus on Route 1. The campus also includes its flagship company store, café and a garden with Adirondack chairs. Stonewall Marketing Manager Matt Robertson said at the time they wanted to have a separate store to preserve the integrity of the Stonewall Kitchen stores.

Stonewall Kitchen was founded in 1991 by Jonathan King and Jim Stott, who got their start selling jams and jellies at local farmers’ markets. Their approach involved a flavorful line of high-quality products, and over time they expanded their brand to include sauces, condiments, crackers and baking mixes. Today, their brand’s products are sold across North America.

Somers said the growth through acquisitions has allowed Stonewall to branch out with new items. Other additions include Michel’s Pumpkin Prize, Christmas Bouquet and White Spruce Candles, as well as Legal Sea Foods’ Down East Bloody Mary Mixer and a seasonal Iced Berry Collection of candles, lotions and soaps.

“With our growing family of brands, we’re now able to introduce even more interesting flavors, great fragrances and gorgeous designs across various categories,” said Somers.
