Ladies and gentlemen, the moment we've all been waiting for! Kelly Clarkson just made a major announcement that has fans going nuts and it's something they've been asking for for years.

With three seasons and counting of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the show has already earned an Emmy award and a dedicated fan base. Something that people always look forward to seeing is which song the former Voice coach will be covering next as part of her "Kellyoke" segment. She's covered iconic songs from an array of genres like Brooks & Dunn's "Boot Scootin' Boogie," Dolly Parton's "Jolene," and Alanis Morissette's "Uninvited." Now, she's giving fans what they've been begging for since the first season — fully recorded versions of her "Kellyoke" songs.

She announced the major career news on Instagram with the caption that read, "After singing over 500 covers on my talk show, I'm so excited to announce that my new EP #KELLYOKE is coming June 9th! It will include six covers that I recorded in the studio... and it's available for pre-order! Do it now and you'll get to hear my version of @billieeilish's "Happier Than Ever" ❤️ link in bio!"

Kelly's EP will be the first time the artist has released a collection of music since her Christmas album in 2021. Simply titled Kellyoke, it will feature six recorded songs that she's covered on her daytime talk show. The songs featured, include:

  • "Blue Bayou" by Linda Ronstadt

  • "Call Out My Name" by The Weeknd

  • "Happier Than Ever" by Billie Eilish

  • "Queen of the Night" by Whitney Houston

  • "Trampoline" by SHAED

  • "Fake Plastic Trees" by Radiohead

Of course, fans are absolutely stoked by the news and left comments like, "Literally release all 500 queen!" "'kellyoke' should be called 'Kelly Sings Your Song Better Than You,'" "Only 6!? Omg give us moreeeeeeee. You are so talented❤️❤️," and "EP OF THE SUMMER!!!! 😍".

For fans who couldn't wait until the release date, the "Since U Been Gone" singer gave us a taste of what's to come by sharing the full version of her haunting cover of Billie Eilish's "Happier Than Ever."

We've waited three seasons for this EP to come to fruition, but June 6th can't come soon enough!
