Store Employees Get Maced Attempting to Stop Black Friday Shoplifting Suspects

Police in Blaine, Minnesota, have asked for help in identifying two suspected shoplifters who were confronted leaving a store in Northtown Mall on Black Friday.

Video released by police shows a store worker snatch two shopping carts off the suspects as they were leaving the mall’s Burlington Coat Factory outlet. Another worker arrives, and both were sprayed in the face by a Mace-like substance.

This causes one worker to fall over onto the suspects’ shopping carts.

Despite the mayhem, the two suspects soon return to the store, to gather up merchandise and other items they dropped before fleeing again.

One employee who was sprayed with the irritant needed to be taken to the hospital, local media reported.
