As the holidays quickly approach, you may find yourself too busy to get to the store. Here are the grocery stores that deliver to your doorstep in the Valley, along with other methods to get your groceries at your doorstep without having to leave your home.

Which grocery stores deliver?

These grocery stores deliver to residents in Arizona via their own website or app.

  • Safeway: the grocery store's website said they deliver 7 days a week between 8 a/m. and 10 p.m. local time. In order to see if your Safeway delivers, you can check their website or their app. Same day deliveries rates can hover around $9.95.

  • Target: Certain Target stores participate in same day delivery which is free with membership or $9.99. You can check on their app or their website for which Target stores participate.

  • Walmart: You can shop for your groceries on the app or on their website. Delivery fees vary.

  • Albertsons: You can check if your Albertsons delivers, as well as order right from their website or app. You also get a free turkey if you make an order more than $100.

  • Whole Foods: You can get Whole Foods delivered through Amazon Prime in select zip codes. Check to see if you are able to shop.

Other ways to get groceries delivered

If you find that your favorite store does not deliver via their own app or website, you may still be able to get your groceries delivered through an app.

  • Instacart: Instacart is designed for you to grocery shop from home. Browse through their catalogue of stores, compile your list and then a shopper will go shopping for you and bring it to your home. Delivery fees vary.

  • DoorDash: Though you may know DoorDash for its food delivery, certain grocery stores are available on DoorDash too. You can type in your address to find out what you can get delivered.

  • Uber Eats: Not only can you order food, you can order your groceries too. Check to see which grocery stores near you are available to deliver through Uber Eats.

  • Gopuff: This app allows you to shop from your home. You can browse the items they have available. They offer $20 off your first order with the code Welcome20.

  • Shipt: Shipt allows you to get local stores delivered to your door. They offer retailers such as Food City and Walgreens and retail stores such as Sephora and Petsmart. You can browse items you would like to add to your cart.

When does Safeway open during Thanksgiving week?

For the week of Thanksgiving 2023, Safeway locations throughout the Valley open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. with the exception of Thanksgiving Day, which will have limited hours:
