The Drummonds have quite a few Christmas traditions that they return to each year: Pictures in matching Christmas pajamas, baking a warm batch of Ree's famous cinnamon rolls (and giving them to friends and neighbors), and, of course, gift-giving.
And as organized as Ree is about the whole rigmarole, every family has its fair share of last-minute holiday stress. 😬 It may not be quite as much fun to talk about, but it's a fact: Nearly every holiday hostess finds herself needing to run out to the store for this or that last-minute item as the holiday approaches.
Below, we're sharing a list of all of the stores open on Christmas Day in the hopes that it'll make those last-minute woes a little less, well, woeful. While we can't offer you a totally stress-free Christmas, we can try to help you move through those anxiety-inducing moments with more optimism and efficiency.

Stores are open on Christmas Day:
Acme: Good news, last-minute grocery shoppers! Acme is typically open on Christmas Day (though their hours vary by location).
Albertsons: Most Alberstons stores are open on Christmas. Reduced holiday hours vary but are typically 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Bravo Supermarkets: Most locations operate with reduced hours on Christmas Day.
Casey's General Store: Stores are due to open at 10 a.m., but hours vary by location.
Cumberland Farms: Most Cumberland Farms stores around the country will be open, and no guarantees, but the retailer is even known to serve coffee to its customers on Christmas morning.
CVS: You can expect most CVS stores to remain open on Christmas Day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., with some staying open 24/7 as usual, but you'll have to check with your local branch and remember that pharmacy times may be different than those listed here.
Dunkin' Donuts: While Dunkin' Donuts' Christmas hours vary by location, most locations around the country will be open on Christmas.
Family Dollar/Dollar Tree: Select stores will be open, but make sure to check with your local retailer before heading out.
The Fresh Market: In past years, stores remained open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., but that may change this year. Hours may vary by location.
Giant Eagle: Giant Eagle stores typically close their doors at 5 p.m. on Christmas, with their pharmacies closing sooner. Hours may vary by location.
Giant Food: In previous years, Giant Food stores have closed at 7 p.m. on Christmas Day, with pharmacies closing around 6 p.m. (with even earlier pick-up closures). Hours may vary by location.
Harris Teeter: Stores have typically opened at their regular time and closed around 7 p.m. Hours may vary by location.
IHOP: IHOP will be open on Christmas and Christmas Eve in 2022. Pancakes for everyone!
McDonald's: Yes, McDonald's will be open on Christmas! But as a rep confirmed to ThePioneerWoman.com, hours may vary by location.
QuickChek: QuickChek stores should be open, but they'll likely have reduced hours. Hours may vary by location.
Rite Aid: Many locations will remain open on Christmas Day, but you'll want to call ahead to be sure. Hours may vary by location.
Safeway: Select locations are open on Christmas Day, but be sure to check with your local store.
Starbucks: Select Starbucks locations will be open on Christmas Day in 2022, as well as on Christmas Eve—but hours may vary.
Stop & Shop: Most Stop & Shop stores are expected to close at 6 p.m. on Christmas eve, and all will be closed on Christmas Day.
Walgreens: Walgreens stores that operate 24/7 will be open on Christmas, and the majority of the other locations will have reduced hours.
7-Eleven: Most convenience store locations remain open on Christmas and stay open all day and night.
