My name is Emiliana Banks and I am in the fifth grade at Westside Elementary School. I stay after school every day to attend KidsZone. I really like attending KidsZone because we get dinner, work on our homework, and this week we are working on a winter performance. I am learning how to play “Let It Snow” on the handbells. I am nervous but excited for this performance. I want to surprise my mom with it.

This year I was selected to be a safety patrol, so I get to help kids get to class and teach them the rules, like when they should walk and not run. I live with my mom, dad, two brothers and a sister. I get along with my siblings, we play together and watch movies or Disney Channel.

Both of my parents work in restaurants, but I prefer homemade food. My favorite fruit is mango, my favorite vegetable is carrots, and I really like shrimp alfredo. My family is loving and kind, but what I like most is that they will stand up for each other.

When I get older, I want to be a fashion model and fashion designer because I love fashion. I actually want to start modeling right now as a kid model and then grow up to be an adult model. I like to put together crazy outfits and model them for my mom. My mom is very fashionable, too, and supports my dreams. After high school I want to go to fashion school. My personal style is “very extra,” but I want to design “casual but cute” clothes for people of all ages.

When I am older, I also want to be a children’s helper, like helping children on the streets who are homeless and in need. I want to give the kids shelter, new clothes and put them in school. If I could travel anywhere in the world, it would be to L.A. for the fashion or Paris to see the Eifel Tower. I really just want to travel the whole world!

In my family, we celebrate Christmas by putting up a tree and opening gifts together. We are currently looking for a new home, so I am not sure what we will be doing for Christmas this year. What I want most this Christmas is joy. I also want an Oculus, because I saw it on YouTube and some of the teachers at my school have it. I like virtual reality and video games like Roblox and Subway Surfers. I also would like some bellbottoms or a gift card to H&M to get new outfits. If I could give my parents a gift, it would be a million dollars so we could buy a house, another car, and put money away for school.

My favorite person at my school is Ms. Kymberli Parker. I would suggest to other kids that they should join KidsZone because it is a very good program, and you get to learn things that you do not learn in school. It will also look very good on your resume, and it is just a really wonderful, joyful place.
