Storm expected to bring winds, rain, snow to northern Arizona
The National Weather Service in Flagstaff is warning about possible impacts from a storm hitting northern Arizona by the middle of the week.
A Pacific storm will bring the region strong winds, rain and high elevation snow, mostly over Coconino County, generally along and north of Interstate 40, according to the weather service.
The storm will precede colder temperatures Thursday and Friday, the weather service said.
"There is high uncertainty at this time regarding the details of rain and snowfall amounts," read a Saturday afternoon statement from the weather service.
Thursday morning saw the first snowfall of the season in Flagstaff.
As we're enjoying the fair weather this weekend, let's take a peek at the next storm (due on Wed). Greatest risk of snow impacts will be over NW Arizona...but, it's still several days away, and the forecast will be evolving with time. Stay tuned for updates! #azwx pic.twitter.com/SuzEMMu4La
