Storm Fueled by Hurricane Kay Causes Flooding at Death Valley National Park

Storms fueled by the remnants of Hurricane Kay caused flooding and forced road closures in Death Valley National Park on Saturday, September 10, according to the National Park Service.

This footage was posted to Facebook by Death Valley National Park, who said it was filmed from Badwater Road on Saturday.

The park said the severe weather caused issues for visitors. Around 40 vehicles were blocked by flooding on CA-190 west of Towne Pass, while a tour bus got stuck in soft sand while trying to turn around. The bus blocked both lanes of CA-190 for about an hour, east of Stovepipe Wells, the park said.
