Heavy rainfall from Storm Hanna caused flooding in the streets of Monterrey, Mexico, on July 26, local reports said.
At least four people were missing from Nuevo Leon and Tamaulipas – the Mexican states most affected by the storm – and several houses and hospitals were reportedly damaged, reports said.
Hanna made landfall in southern Texas as a Category 1 hurricane on Saturday before weakening to a tropical storm. Mexico’s weather service reported additional weakening of Storm Hanna, but forecast rains to continue on Monday.
