Storms Bring Snow Squalls, High Winds to New England

A band of storms moved southeast from the Great Lakes and brought snow squalls in several areas of the US Northeast on the morning of Monday, February 25. This footage shows a squall in Waltham, Massachusetts, west of Boston.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Boston warned that some of the squalls would greatly reduce visibility on roads. High winds also toppled power lines, causing outages across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, according to the NWS and Eversource, a major energy supplier in New England.
