On Friday, porn actress Stormy Daniels postponed a hotly-anticipated interview with Piers Morgan due to security concerns.

The postponement comes after news broke Thursday that former president Donald Trump would be indicted by a New York grand jury in connection with a hush money payment to Daniels. Trump is expected to surrender next week.

“Unfortunately, Stormy Daniels has had to suddenly postpone our interview tonight due to some security issues that have arisen,” explained Morgan in a tweet. “Hope she’s OK.”

Daniels was scheduled to appear on the program Piers Morgan Uncensored. It was originally scheduled to air on the British television station TalkTV at 4 p.m. Eastern Time and it would hit U.S. airwaves at 9 p.m. on Fox Nation.

“It’s the indictment that’s rocked the world,” Morgan’s program wrote in the build-up. “And tonight Piers Morgan interviews the former adult star at the centre of it all.”

But the interview will not occur today and Morgan was not able to provide further information on why.

Morgan has been associated with Trump’s reality persona for years, having won the first edition of Celebrity Apprentice. However, since then, he has been a thorn in the president’s side.

The $130,000 payment was made to Daniels by former Trump personal attorney and fixer Michael Cohen. The indictment on reportedly over 30 charges still remains under seal. It is widely expected to revolve around the misdemeanor offense of falsifying business records, which can be upgraded to a felony if done to conceal or commit a second crime.

New York prosecutors previously declined to indict Trump, but there has been indication for weeks that Bragg had reversed course and an indictment was near. Cohen testified to the grand jury earlier this month and Daniels met with prosecutors. Trump was also offered the opportunity to testify but declined.

The indictment news was met with widespread condemnation on the right and even some on the left are concerned the legal case behind the indictment is weak. Trump was also cognizant of the looming indictment this month, posting on social media that he would be imminently arrested.

While he didn’t have to surrender in March, the former president will have to do so in April.
