Stouts, barleywines, New England IPAs: Try a new beer at a Conn. brewery this weekend.

Plans this weekend? Why not swing by a local brewery?

We looked over a slew of tap lists from New London and Windham counties, and we've found what local breweries are serving up this weekend. This weekend's highlights include Outer Light Brewing Company's 5.8% New England IPA "Dum Dum Juice," Black Pond Brews' 7.3% Double New England IPA "Counting to Infinity," Tox Brewing Company's 11.5% Imperial Coffee Milk Stout "Wisteria 2022," and Willimantic Brewing Company's 10.2% Barleywine "Wacky Whammer Barleywine."

Check out the list below for some highlights from each brewery.

Bear Hands Brewing Company

Drinkable Arrangments (Açaì): 3.8% Fruited Berlinner Weisse.

"Our rotating Fruited Berliner Weisse kettle sour series features the Açai berry this time around. The South American Açai berry is rich in antioxidants and is considered the original "superfood", so that must make this a "superbeer". The tartness of this kettle sour is balanced out with the rich sweetness and subtle chocolate notes from these powerful little Açai berries."

Jinger’s Brown: 6.3% Brown Ale.

"An American meets European brown ale. The grain bill and the hops cross international waters to make a medium body brown ale featuring a light toffee flavor with a crisp finish."

Ermegerd: 8% Peanut Butter Cup Stout.

"This peanut butter cup stout is loaded down with multiple additions of peanut butter that is very present up front, and just a touch of cacao to add the underlying chocolate flavor on the back end. Ermagerd is all I can say!"

Bear Hands Brewing is located at 75 Main St., Suite 1, in Putnam.

Epicure Brewing

Good Old Tom: 6.5% New England IPA.

"This beer is our first release of the popular New England IPA-style. New England IPAs are known for their cloudy appearance, thick texture and citrus flavors. Citra, Mandarina Bavaria and El Dorado hops were used in this brew. Good Old Tom is named after the first person to walk in the door on our opening night in 2017. Tom Senuta (#62) is one of our mug club members, his work adorns our walls in several locations, and he was a big part of making this beer come together, including being part of the brew team. We are lucky to have him and his wife April (#63) on our side."

Finnegan Dealt It: 5.9% Irish Red Ale.

"This Irish red has a slight caramel and toffee notes in the aroma to compliment its hazy brown color. Tones of toffee and dark chocolate settle on the palette. Finnegan is named after a dog named H. (Huckleberry) Finnegan, owned by shareholders Jenny and Jason Vincent. Finn got his name from Jenny's favorite author. It'll be your huckleberry. Dealt it is an homage t our friends and family that work at either the Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods Resort casinos, located in our neighborhood."

Epicure Brewing is located at 40 Franklin St. in Norwich.

Fox Farm Brewery

Quiet Night: 5.3% Dark Lager.

"A Czech-Style Dark Lager. With a grist made up almost-entirely of Bohemian malted barley, it has a restrained (but very present) malt quality highlighted by a hint of raisin and the slightest impression of roast. Following primary fermentation it was lagered for over six weeks in one of our horizontal lager tanks. Soft and creamy but with that unmistakable, clean lager finish you’d expect."

Pip: 4.2% Pale Lager.

"Low-ABV but characterful pale lager. Pip draws equally from Czech and German brewing traditions without strictly adhering to either. A gentle whirlpool addition of Callista hops throws subtle grapefruit and stone fruit."

Fox Farm Brewery is located at 62 Music Vale Road in Salem.

"Double mashed with an extended boil, this imperial stout is brewed with Grade A dark maple syrup from Fat Stone Farm and conditioned on house roasted Guatemalan coffee. Paired with carefully selected malts, the coffee in conjunction with the natural sweetened roasty base gives complex notes of roasted nuts and chocolate covered berries. Pouring a dark brown with slowly cascading brown head, this treat has aromas of fresh coffee, maple praline, caramel and cocoa and flavors of maple cookies, butterscotch and black coffee. Allow this gem to warm!"
