Stow Summer Sunset Blast returns Labor Day weekend

The city of Stow will again present the Stow Summer Sunset Blast, a free family-oriented community event at Silver Springs Park, 5238 Young Road during Labor Day weekend.

The event is Sept. 2 and 3 from 5 to 10 p.m. Highlights include food, children’s activities, inflatables, games, music, beer, live bands, and a grand finale fireworks show in the area.

“This is one of our best events of the year and there is something for everyone,” said Mayor John Pribonic. “We want to see as many residents as possible come out and enjoy themselves.”

In addition, for a $5 daily admission, the High Adventure Zone from 5 to 10 p.m. both nights to enjoy kids’ inflatables, a petting zoo, rock-wall, euro bungee, spin cycle, and more. The petting zoo is open from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. each night. Live music at the event will include Dance Party Band, The Players Club performing on Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m., and Cover Band, Karri Fedor & Kerosene performing Sunday from 7 to 10 p.m. The fireworks display is on Sunday at 9 p.m. to close out the holiday weekend.

“The Summer Sunset Blast celebrates the Stow community with over 40 local organizations, food vendors, and family-friendly activities,” said Linda Nahrstedt, Stow’s director of Parks and Recreation. “You really don’t want to miss this event.”
