Stranger Things 4 has already smashed Netflix records, and the whole season isn't even out yet. After three years of making fans wait, the latest installment of Stranger Things was split into two, with the first seven episodes premiering in late May, and the final two set to be released on July 1.

But, while Volume I (as it was deemed) of Stranger Things 4 introduced us to a creepy new villain, a haunting backstory for Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and a major plot twist, we still have a lot of questions as we head into those final two episodes. And fans seem to have a lot of theories too, ranging from a surprise character death to the return of someone from Eleven's past.

However, there's one fan theory that we can't stop thinking about, and we believe it will come true in the final two episodes of Stranger Things 4 : Will (Noah Schnapp) will admit he has feelings for Mike (Finn Wolfhard), causing a love triangle, as Mike is already in a relationship with Eleven.

So far, Will is the only member of the four original boys who hasn't been given a love interest on the show. Meanwhile, Mike has been dating Eleven, Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) has been paired with Max (Sadie Sink) and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) found a camp girlfriend named Suzie (Gabriella Pizzolo).

However, throughout the third season, Will was seen longing for the days when it was just him and his friends hanging out, and it caused tension between himself and Mike, leading Mike to even say to him, “It’s not my fault you don’t like girls!”

The writers seem to be teasing viewers with the idea that Will has a secret crush, because at one point in the new season, Eleven says, “Will is painting a lot, but he…he won’t show me what he’s working on. Maybe it is for a girl. I think there is someone he likes, because he has been acting weird.” During another instance of Stranger Things 4, Will is seen trying to disclose something personal to Mike, but their conversation gets interrupted and they never return to it.

This wouldn't be the first time a queer storyline was introduced in the series. In season 3, Steve (Joe Keery) confessed his feelings for Robin (Maya Hawke), only to find out that she is a lesbian. So, we'll be curious to see if there turns out to be another queer character in the Stranger Things universe.

July 1 can't come fast enough.
