Netflix's retro sci-fi show Stranger Things has cooked up all sorts of questions during its three seasons, and now one has finally been answered by the writers.

Maya Hawke's Scoops Ahoy! favourite Robin wasn't given a surname in the latest season, and naturally, eager fans have been thirsty for more information ever since they finished the last episode.

It hasn't taken long for this particular mystery to be cleared up though, as the Stranger Things writers' room account has responded to queries regarding Robin's full identity.

After being hounded for clues, they came up with the teasing tweet: "Better pay more attention, we already told you Robin's last name."

Huh? Well, looking at their previous tweets, they read: "United States of Erica," Cuteness overload," "Kids being kids," "Looking for?," "Eleven probably needs a hug" and "You know who you gonna call."

Have you spotted it yet? One eagle-eyed fan did, and submitted her answer, which was later confirmed by the official account.

B-U-C-K-L-E-Y.

The writers posted: "kudos to this genius who figured out what we were doing like four tweets ago, y'all are on it!

"Robin's last name can be found if you look back on our past seven tweets. The first letter of each one spells out Buckley."

So there you have it, Robin Buckley is her full name, which means... almost nothing in the grand scheme of things!
