Strasburg, Bolivar to host car shows on July 23

Saturday, July 23 will be a great day for car shows in the area.

From noon to 3 p.m., the Strasburg Lions Club annual car show will be held at the ProVia parking lot, 10190 State Route 21, Strasburg. There is no rain date.

All vehicles are welcome. Registration will be held from 10 a.m. to noon. Entry fee is $10.

Following that, the Bolivar Main Street Association is sponsoring the Canal Street Cruise-in on Canal Street in Bolivar.

At Strasburg, awards will be presented at 2:30 p.m. Dash plaques for first 100 entries will be awarded.

Best of Show, a president’s choice, plus ten additional awards will be given.

Music will be provided by Spikeman, DJ. Door prizes will be given and a 50/50 drawing will be held.

The car show is sponsored Wolfe’s Lawn and Landscape, Toland Herzig Funeral Homes, Miller and Co Sanitation Service, ProVia, and Strasburg Lions Club.

At Bolivar, registration for the annual antique car and bike show will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Cost is $8 pre-register or $10 on July 23. Trophies will be awarded.

There is no admission charge. DJ Spikeman will provide entertainment. There will also be a Lions Club chicken barbecue from 4 to 7 p.m.
