Strasburg grads receive scholarships, grants

The 2022 Strasburg-Franklin Local High School graduates received a number of scholarships and grants, many of them renewal toward their college education. The graduates earned over $305,000 in scholarships and grants.

Those being awarded are as follows:

• Claudia Airhart, Madeline Edwards, Emma Gilkerson, Andrew Harvey, Haylea Hilton, Josie Lautenschleger, Nick Martin, Carter Pratt, Ella Pumphry, Evan Rissler, Landon Schneider, Meara Shapaka, Jenna Trifelos, Emily Tucker, Jacob Ross, Maci Willoughby, Cooper Dailey, Allyssa Ullom, all honors diplomas.

• Alyssa Ullom – Lions Club Scholarship.

• Andrew Harvey – HOF Hardwood Classic, Lions Club Scholarship, Mothers of Athletes, Jose Samson, MD Memorial scholarship, Booster Club Scholarship, Matt and Melanie Neidenthal scholarship, Tiger Foundation Scholarship.

• Danielle Wright — The Legacy Softball Scholarship.

• Eli Fierbaugh – AultCare Team Spirit, ProVia, Strasburg Education Association, Fizz and Dutch Miller Scholarship, Kent Scholarship. Ohio University Scholarship.

• Ella Pumphry – Isabelle Bear Memorial Scholarship, Ray Kroc Scholarship, Rose Queen attendant, Strasburg Education Association Scholarship, Leslie Harrold Scholarship.

• Emma Gilkerson – The Lions Club Scholarship, Booster Club Association, Legacy Softball Scholarship, Speedie Auto and Speedie Septic Scholarship.

• Evan Rissler – Booster Club Scholarship, Strasburg Christian Scholarship, Kevin Willis Scholarship, Strasburg Athletic Hall of Fame Scholarship, Leslie Harrold Scholarship.

• Haylea Hilton – First Federal Community Bank Scholarship.

• Jaelynn Marks – Tuscarawas County Sportsman.

• Jenna Trifelos – Kevin Willis Scholarship, Zachary Davis Memorial Scholarship.

• Josie Lautenschlager -Hope Spidell Scholarship, ROTC and the University of Michigan Scholarships, Lion’s Club Scholarship, Leslie Harrold Scholarship.

• Maci Willoughby – Yenny Family Scholarship, Larry Jones Memorial Scholarship, Rose Queen, Matt and Melanie Neidenthal Scholarship, Fizz and Dutch Miller Scholarship, Leslie Harrold Scholarship.
