The Street Style Crowd Wore Striped Blazers at Pitti Uomo
The revival of prep is upon us.
Men's fashion month is steadily chugging along, with the latest week of shows — Pitti Uomo in Florence — coming to a close on Friday. The longtime trade show welcomed a slew of memorable events, including Clare Waight Keller's debut men's runway show for Givenchy, Sterling Ruby's inaugural collection for his new brand S.R. Studio. LA. CA. and Carine Roitfeld's first-ever CR Runway show.
Off the runway and among the street style crowd, we noticed a particular wardrobe staple stand out: striped blazers, proving that the revival of prep is near. The jacket style was spotted in a slew of versions and colorways on showgoers, from seersucker and pastel hues to bold and neutral pinstripes. Will we be swapping our streetwear-era hoodies for preppy sport jackets in the coming season? It seems like the pendulum is swinging to the opposite side of the aesthetic spectrum, and we'll see the results in our wardrobes very soon.
